First unofficial meeting is held. Twenty five companies are represented.
First election of officers by 18 members.
Bylaws are written and approved by the members.
GOLA is incorporated.
GOLA opposes specific changes to the ground transportation rules and regulations by the Grater Orlando Aviation Authority, changes that would have negatively impacted members but positively impacted airport concessionaires giving them an unfair service advantage. Over a two month period GOLA representatives debated the proposed changes and they were removed. A victory for all transportation companies.

GOLA is recognized by the National Limousine Association. GOLA is represented at the annual NLA convention.
GOLA holds first Annual Year End Banquet.

|
Orange County Board of Commissioners consider not to renew or issue home base limousine service occupational licenses. In response GOLA invites Zoning Board to meet and create new zoning rules that would be acceptable to GOLA members and County Commissioners. At public hearing new proposal is presented to and accepted by Orange County Commissioners. A victory for the small operator.
GOLA joins Atlantic Coast Livery Association, Florida Limousine Association, and West Florida Livery Association forming The Florida Ground Transportation Association. The FGTA represents over 250 members on a state and national lever.

GOLA Board of Directors holds first municipality luncheon. Present are City of Orlando Vehicle for Hire, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Osceola County Vehicle for Hire, Canaveral Port Authority, and Hillsboro County Vehicle for Hire. |

GOLA Board of Directors and Canaveral Port Authority meet and begin process of meeting guidelines of corporate permit. |

GOLA members raise necessary $10,000.00 and produce documents that exceed established application qualifications for corporate permit. The first vehicle is permitted 30 days later. |

GOLA donates to operation home fires. In appreciation of our troops GOLA presented a check for $5,000.00 to assist families of local service men and women. Families were also provided with limo rides to and from Sea World |

In 2005 the GOLA board began negotiations with the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) regarding implementing GOLA Luxury Curve. The partnership was put into place in 2006 and lasted through 2008.
Also in 2005 GOLA began addressing the affect of the launching of DME Disney Magical Express. Efforts continued into 2007 to try and curb the affects of this on the Orlando limousine industry. Started relationships with local and county officials to show GOLA's united strength in the political arena.
Building on GOLA's commitment to maintain it's professional standing in Orlando's business community, meetings are now hosted in convention facilities of prominent Orlando hotels.
The annual Christmas parties are becoming more focused on driving the business owners into the new year with re-ignited confidence of prosperity.
Charitable events continue with assistance to the Negro Spiritual Foundation, National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Cancer Society.

GOLA shot and launched the GOLA infomercial aired on Channel 13 to widen local awareness of our professional members.
Won Association of the Year Award from LCT Limousine, Charter & Tour.
GOLA now involved in lobbying efforts, along side NLA to assist local congress people. Now a proactive association, we continued with the Day on the Hill events every year to present continuing joint efforts with NLA.

Nothing like this in the industry, GOLA hosts the first Limousine Job Fair with media blitz. Fox 35, The Orlando Sentinel, and Channel 13 will be covering the event.
